The Ballpark in Arlington Arlington, Texas
In 1997, the company contracted Sportservice at The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers, to offer its now very successful wine-based frozen drinks. However, it was learned that The Ballpark could sell only beer, or malt-based products in the general seating areas of the stadium.
Refusing to be discouraged, Igloos told the manager that the company would produce a malt-based frozen margarita that could be legally sold at The Ballpark. Within a few months, Igloos had contracted with Great Grains Brewery, a local Dallas brewery, to develop a unique margarita-flavored malt beverage, packaged in kegs, which has become very popular over the years at The Ballpark.
